We are exhibiting at RHS Chatsworth this year for the first time scary!!!.
5 – 9 JUNE 2019 – Chatsworth is in the Peak District, north of Derby, and south of Sheffield. If you are travelling using a sat-nav system, use the postcode DE45 1PN.
We are planning to create a native wildlife pond and bog display 3m x 4m as well as have a variety of pond plants for sale.
Also preparation is underway for the spring Harrogate Show
25-28 April 2019 – Great Yorkshire Showground, Harrogate, North Yorkshire, HG2 8NZ.
Currently we are planting and designing our displays and making sure that we have enough plants to cover the display area.
The digger and dumper truck are back, now for some ground scraping and stoning, as well as erecting 2 more frames for a further 2 greenhouses. Also looking as starting the feature for the front of the main entrance.
Front of shop area is now underway.
Yet another nissen hut was needed to be covered, the wood had been put on the frame, before covering.
So now we have 3 nissen huts, the andrew tunnel, the damaged iris tunnel all full of plants.
More tunnels are needed as we start sowing seeds for next year. But we had not expected storm Callum to be quite so destructive.
The ground was prepared and the tunnel erected perfectly tight, but then we had storm Callum the wind was very strong and the poles at either end could not support the structure.
The end hoop has been removed the other side recemented in. It is supported for now but it will have to be taken down and sorted.
We had all of the plants on trays of water on tables, which i must say made it very wet whenever we had to move them, which can be quite often.
The problem is not only water but it they were near the edge of the polytunnels the table could be knocked over.
So we converted to having everything on matting on the floor.
Continuing on with development we need to create pools to house the lilies.
Very cold weather for the beginning of spring delayed work, back in market rasen we have a tunnel that needs attention.
Work then went on hold until we moved to Brookenby in June 2018.
